Printer toner is a powder-based medium that is used in laser printers. Laser printers use an electrostatic charge to pull positively charged toner particles onto a negatively charged photostatic drum. This drum transfers the image to a piece of paper, and heated fuser units melt those particles onto the paper.
You should think about ordering more toner once your toner levels reach 25%, or when your printer displays the “Toner Low” message.
After you place an order, you will receive your toner in 1-2 business days. If an order is placed after 2:30 pm, it will be shipped the next business day. Supplies on backorder may take up to 5 business days.
You will be able to print until your black toner runs out. Once you are out of black toner, you will not be able to print anything until you replace it.
A typical cartridge of toner can produce between 2,500 and 4,000 pages.
It is highly recommended that we perform the move of your equipment; however, if you must move it yourself, please follow these steps. 1. Turn off the power button. 2. Open the front panel to flip the main power switch. 3. Unplug from the outlet, and keep the surge protector so it can be connected at the new location. 4. Remove all toners from the unit. 5. Wrap the unit in stretch wrap to prevent dust from getting inside. 6. Use Foam or moving blankets on both sides and secure with straps (not too tight). Do not lean the machine on the side. 7. Lock wheels on the base to prevent movement in transit. It is recommended that the machine is rolled on a flat surface and kept level at all times. 8. Once at the destination, follow the previous steps in reverse. 9. After relocating your equipment to the new site, please contact us to schedule an inspection call. *Note: If your machine has an external finisher, that will require removal by one of our technicians first.
